Can I make Easy Pumpkin Bars without a hand mixer?
You really need some form of a mixer to be able to cream the butter, oil, and sugar together, so this is not a recipe that can be done well by hand. You can use a stand mixer if you do not have a hand mixer.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
There is nothing quite as delicious as homemade cream cheese frosting. If you are in a hurry and need to cut some corners, you can always use store-bought frosting.
Add In’s:
If you would like to add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to your pumpkin bars, just sprinkle them on top of the batter after smoothing out into your baking sheet before baking. You will want to use approximately 1 cup of toppings.
Freezer Instructions:
If you would like to make a big batch ahead of time, you will simply want to let your bars cool completely before slicing, storing in a freezer-safe ziplock bag, and placing in the freezer for up to 2 months. When ready to consume, let thaw on the countertop completely before topping with cream cheese frosting. If you like this recipe, you may be interested in these other delicious cookie and bar recipes:
